Trump’s Supporters Are This Nation’s Biggest Losers and Suckers

The news media and Twitter have been buzzing the last 48 hours over the revelation in The Atlantic that Don-the-Con has labeled our military soldiers “losers and suckers.” This, from a man who has consistently devalued our nation’s honor, our standing in the world, and made a mockery out of the office he holds and the Constitution he was elected to uphold.
I’ve given this a lot of thought over the last few days and I know he has attributed these labels to the wrong group of people: He should have said, “The people who believe everything I say and do are the REAL LOSERS and SUCKERS of the world!”
Those same people who support the insanity blowing through the White House year in/year out since 2017, making excuses, blaming fake news for the wrong messaging that comes out of one disaster after another, perpetrated by the Moron-in-Chief day after day, month after month and years on end.

In the absence of any clear cut intelligence or logic, these sycophants continue to fall at their master’s feet; making excuses for his behavior, his defamation of Joe Biden’s character and always finding a way to attack the fake news media that deigns to question the everyday lunacy of a man so enamored of his perceived powers that he is willing to make a mockery out of the office he holds and shine the spotlight on the clueless, dim-witted fool he is, as he leads his followers in the name of Making America Great Again while their lives collapse around their feet.
Left to his own devices, he is more dangerous, disingenuous, despotic and devious than any president in history. Under the watchful eye of the news media (save for Fox News, which is the mouthpiece for Trump Inc.), Trump has been proven to be a liar, a cheat, a lunatic, a fraud, a shape-shifting storyteller and a man who is incapable of truth-telling because it interferes with — and undermines — his ability to perceive himself as the anointed one, and pretender to the throne.
He has yet to figure out the parameters of his job, what he is responsible for and to whom he is responsible. He has treated the presidency as his own special toy box of antics that utilize slight-of-hand tricks while engaging in a plethora of self-serving, under-the-table deals that have stopped world leaders in their tracks; stunned and appalled at who he is and what the US has become. Among other things, they see the US as a laughing-stock, a country that has plummeted in its previous world standing as a vaunted protector of human rights, a leader in healthcare, protector of religious freedom, and perceived racial tolerance — serving as a beacon of light and truth to the rest of the world.
His supporters say they are voting for Trump again because they believe that voting for an unknown such as Joe Biden frightens them. They believe it’s better to stick with what they’ve got, rather than support a man who has proven himself to be a champion of the middle and lower classes, repeatedly, in 47 years of service to his country.
So devoted to the Republican ideology are they that the middle-class and undeserved Republican faithful would rather lose the roofs over their heads, their healthcare, their businesses and their livelihoods, Social Security and — perhaps even their lives — than admit that they were fools and suckers for the Trump doctrine and, ultimately, losers in the end who will be left with a fraction of what they had when he took office in 2017.

I wonder what devastation will be sown between now and November 3rd for these people to wake up and smell the impending death — the implosion of everything they’ve known, everything they’ve believed in and recognize that not only Trump, but the entire GOP with the exception of Mitt Romney and on occasion, Lisa Murkowski have lined up lock-step behind Trump, protecting him when he committed Treason, stood silently by while he decimated the Hatch Act and who looked the other way when he boldly lied about Russia and Putin helping him win the election in 2016. Those who out of fear for their jobs and fat paychecks, turned their backs on the Constitution while Rome burned to the ground. Collectively, they’ve served Russia more faithfully than they’ve served their own constituencies; to vote them back into office in November is nothing short of gross neglect and criminal collusion.
I have to believe that some of these people might come to their senses, given the lives that have been affected by the Coronavirus, the loved ones who died on Trump’s watch when he was busy telling Fox and Friends and the fake news that this would all blow over by April and “…like a miracle, it [would] be gone.”
How stupid and foolish do people have to be to follow the GOP into the boughs of hell before it dawns on them that they have been misled, lied to and used as nothing more than pawns — a vehicle for Trump to outlandishly abuse the office of the President of the United States?
What will be the tipping point for a reckoning of wide-spread acknowledgement that where we are and where we are headed is going to lead this country to a very dark place and over the edge of no return?
