For over 40 years, Joe Biden has served his country with dignity and loyalty. He righted the ship after a tumultuous 4 years of insanity — running under the banner, “The Soul of Our Nation is At Stake”.
Three and one-half years later, our country is at a crossroads. On one side, there is sanity, relative fairness, personal rights assured and the privilege of following whichever religious or value system we so choose.
On the other side is division, exclusion, rampant retribution and payback, with a healthy dose of racism, hate and edicts thrown in for good measure. The threat of watching Social Security dismantled, the wealthy rewarded, the healthcare system turned on its head and the liberties under which this country was founded upon stripped from its citizenry are chilling, real and palpable.
That brings us to the dilemma facing President Joseph Robinette Biden.
Biden is running under the delusion that he is still as physically and mentally astute as he once was. He may have been known on Capitol Hill as the gaffe master, but he was the guy you could go to for an across-the-aisle deal or a compromise solution, regardless of who was in power.
