Bemoaning His Fate As US Election Proves Disastrous For Don-The-Con

As the NY Times mentioned on Wednesday: Trump falsely declared himself the winner around 2:30 a.m. Eastern. He said he would call on the Supreme Court to stop counting ballots in states where he led, while urging more counting in states where he was behind. He claimed “fraud” (for which there is no evidence) and he called the election an “embarrassment to the country.”
It’s never easy to lose, especially when you’ve made a career of mocking those who have lost and those who have died while defending your right to voice your opinions — no matter how distorted and false they may be.
It’s Saturday morning and Donald Trump must come to terms with the fact that the only way he will retain the presidency is if he uses the judiciary to steal it. This is not new territory for The Donald, but rather a well-worn path that he has tread for many years — using the courts to steal money, cheat people and rob them of their livelihoods.
He will go there again, in the name of democracy and the right to a fair and legal outcome with regard to the electoral process, casting his net wide and far — hoping against hope that the judges he installed in lower federal courts during his term will return the favor by ruling to hand him another four years — votes be damned.
Last evening, Joe Biden’s camp announced that he would make a brief speech in Wilmington. Trump was quick to tweet out a cautionary warning to the Vice-President, admonishing him to refrain from claiming victory; this from a man who took to the podium the day after the election to announce his reelection, citing a “red wave” across the nation. This isn’t the first time Trump has ignored fact and settled for fiction: his entire presidency has been built on the shifting sands of instability, buffered by holes too deep to crawl out of and an inability to fuse facts with truth.
He has moved the nation backward, using code words and encouraging Right-wing thugs, Supremacists and uneducated rednecks while whistling in the dark in the hope that those on the Left would be blinded by his dazzling brand of bullshit and bravado. They weren’t, and that is why he will no longer be president after January 20, 2021.
I will not miss the lies, the constant whining, the false accusations, the bitching and moaning, the pompous bravado — lathered on thickly by a man who barely has a middle-school command of the English language. I will not miss the ignorance, the stupidity, the brazen way in which he thumbed his nose at the scientific and medical communities in the midst of a worldwide pandemic and the absolute nonchalance with which he governed for four years.
He committed Treason, made a joke out of the Hatch Act by consistently finding ways to plump up his personal bank accounts by using his position to benefit his family’s personal wealth and has the blood of thousands on his hands for not reacting quickly to the onslaught of the Coronavirus when he had a small window of opportunity to save lives.
The WH inner circle has been a revolving door of sycophants, thugs, Trump- loyalists-gone-rogue and good military people who left the administration or were fired; more than any other president in modern history. He has disposed of people like a hypochondriac disposes of paper cups at the office water fountain. He has broken the oath he swore to uphold and has made a mockery out of rules and regulations — breaking them and daring the lame Republican cabal in the Senate to stop him.
We are well-rid of this buffoon-of-a-man. He has proven that he is, if nothing else, vengeful in the extreme. I suspect Trump will pardon everyone, save for Michael Cohen, his former personal attorney. It will be interesting to watch how he handles the budgeting, spending and misappropriation of Treasury funds. January 20th will not come soon enough. God help this country and its people over the next 70+ days before our long national nightmare comes to an end.
